Can I add comment on edge of the PDF and print it?

Hi Guys

I am currently working with Acrobat Reader DC for my studies.

I'd love to have the possibility to make comments outside of the pdf and to print them as well.

So basicly I'd need to small down the pdf a little bit, so there will be an edge on one or 2 sides and than make the usual comments (not commentboxes, cause they are not gonna print out).

Is this possible in Acrobat Reader DC? Or is it possible in the full version? I could think of buying the students and teacher version (study at the university of zurich)

Thanks in Advance

Marco

Hi marcok79871102,

You can try "Create Comment Summary" option provided in Adobe Acrobat application, then print the comment summary along with the document. You can find this option under comment tool. Check the screenshot for help:

This feature is not provided in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Use the trial version to check out this feature. Please install the trial version from here: Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC

Hi Meenakshi and thanks for your answer!

Not really what I was looking for, it doesn't really make studying more efficent to always have a additional sheet with comments - I wanna focus on one and only one page.

I heard onenote has something like that but the program is really shitty compared to acrobat -.-"

Okay. I did it... I was able to use Output Preview to increase the margin of the page on the right side and then place my comments in the added space. I would like now to keep the lines from the text showing which corresponding comment box it is relevant to...it only works with the mouse over, not printable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

One more follow up. For this to work you also have to click to show all pop-ups and not have forcing pops to show when scrolling setting on in comments setting. also the zoom will adjust the size of the comments to be printed. all in all I found this not to be able to do what I wanted because I have to many comments and cant position and size them properly. I need more like what Microsoft Word has with their comments function. Any help would be appreciated
