All my photos taken on iPhone are saved as .heic extension. I need to convert dozens of heic images to PDF but Windows 11 does not support HEIC by default. Can I use the Acrobat app to bulk convert HEIC to PDF on Windows 11 PC? I heard Acrobat is one of the best PDF converter apps. Not sure it supports HEIC image files. Please share you insight on this topic.

Thanks

https://www.tunesbro.com/user-guide/heic-to-pdf.html

I converted roughtly 200 heic images to PDF documents and no issue with the app on my Windows PC. You can give a try and let me know if you need further assistance.

Before using Adobe Acrobat, consider converting HEIC files to a more widely supported format like JPEG or PNG. There are various free online tools and downloadable software that can do this. Some popular options are:

iMzaing HEIC Converter
Online converters

Once you have converted the files to JPEG or PNG, you can open Adobe Acrobat.
Use the "Create PDF" option to select all the converted images and compile them into a single PDF document.

HEIC is a modern image format developed by the MPEG. It is based on the HEVC or H.265 video compression standard. HEIC was designed to be a more efficient alternative to older image formats like JPEG. The reason why Apple adopts this new image format is that HEIC files are typically much smaller than JPEGs of similar quality. This is due to advanced compression techniques used in HEVC.

Unfortunately, Acrobat PDF Converter does not support .heic image by default. You have to convert heic to jpg or png in order to create PDF from image using Acrobate. This means you need to use other ways to convert heic to pdf on any Windows PC.

HEIC, which stands for High Efficiency Image File Format, is increasingly used, particularly by Apple devices for its ability to compress high-quality images without significant loss of detail. However, many users find themselves in need of converting HEIC files to PDF for compatibility or ease of sharing, especially since PDF is a more universally accepted format. While online HEIC to PDF converters offer a quick solution, they often come with concerns regarding privacy and the potential for losing image quality during the conversion process.

An effective alternative to online converters is to use dedicated software applications that can handle HEIC to PDF conversion on your computer, which can efficiently convert HEIC to PDF without compromising security. This not only ensures that your files stay private but also allows for better control over the conversion settings.

Hi,

When you try to convert HEIC to PDF, you will get a file type not supported error.

The HEIC format preserves high image quality while being only half the size of a traditional JPEG image. However, there’s a downside—few devices and apps outside of Apple products can open HEIC image files, making sharing them difficult.

One solution that I can think of is,

Please save your HEIC image as a JPG and then convert it to PDF. While you will lose the ability to use the live photo and burst functions, the quality should remain the same when you convert HEIC to PDF.

Let me know, if it works.

Regards,

Subrato

Photoshop can open HEIC images and save them as PDF.

You can use a script or an action to batch the process.
