Hi!
When adding a text box to a PDF via the "Edit PDF" function in Acrobat Standard, is it possible to make the borders of that text box visible? With "Comments" I can do that, but I can't figure it out when adding a text box through "Edit PDF".
Thank you so much!

Do you mean a text box markup, or a form field?

Hi!
It's not a form field so I'd have to say it's a "text box markup". I click on "Edit PDF" and then I click on "Add Text".
Thank you!! 🙂

You can't have a border with that type of text.

Well, that's a bummer.
Thank you so much for letting me know! I'll quit trying, lol.
Have a great day!!

You can do it if you used a text form field or a text box comment, though.

Hi, and thank you again! 🙂
I'm still trying to accomplish what I posted about in the other thread where I was using the "Comments" tool but the link wouldn't work properly from within the browser:
When I open this PDF preview in my "desktop app" (Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat Standard), I can click on the link I added (to the comment box I created) and it takes me to my website, which is exactly what I want it to do.
The problem:
When the PDF preview opens in the browser rather than within the desktop app, the link seems to be not active or not easily found to be clicked. Instead, when I hover over the text that should be a link, it appears that the comment box "activates" and then I can drag that entire comment box around but I can't click the link to be whisked away to the webpage.
After yesterday's testing, the link works when I use the "Add Text" tool (albeit I can't "style" the text box with borders, etc.). Do you know if using the "text box comment" or the "text form field" would work without the linking issue I have when using "Comments", or should I just stick with the plain "Add Text" tool for this? I can test to check it out but figured I'd ask in case you have a quick answer like you did for my other post mentioned above.
Thank you again so much!! 🙂

You can make the Link object itself have a visible border, via its Properties:

Thank you! I'll try it out!
I really want to be able to have the text box have borders to make the text stand out like I can do with the comments box but the working link (which doesn't work right when using the comments box) is more important so I'll try this latest suggestion from you to see how it goes.
Thank you again! 🙂
