In a past version of windows and Adobe products Adobe standard did not hand opening two documents simutaneously very well. To work around the issue I loaded reader with a red icon and standard with a white icon. That way when I was using Adobe Standard, and needed to reference another document, I would Open As "Adobe Reader". Now I am running Windows 11 and purchased Adobe Standard, and then loaded free Adobe Reader to accomplish the same goals. However, once I loaded Standard and then Reader, there appears to be only one program. It appears to be only Standard. If I try to open an additional pdf, and try to Open With, I cannot find an Adobe Reader icon. Can anyone shed light on what is happening? Thx -art-
Hi @RealtorArt
Now Acrobat and Reader are part of unified installer and you can't install both Reader and Acrobat apps simultaneously on the machine.

You have posted in the Photoshop forum. Is your question about Acrobat? If so I'll move it to the relevant forum.

Acrobat Pro costs more and has more features than Acrobat Standard, such as Redaction and OCR.

Thanks Jane - it sounds like this is about Acrobat - so I'll move the thread to that forum.

It's more common than you would expect and something I've seen quite often over the years in Acrobat classes! Just yesterday someone I work for said she would be sending out the schedules in Adobe. I debated correcting her and decided it was in my best interests not to.

Are you on Windows or macOS? ASAIK, Windows blocks opening the same file in two applications simultaneously, whereas macOS has always allowed it.
