Hi craigb,

To recap your inquiries with a thoruogh answer see the Document Cloud Frequently Asked Questions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/faq.html

This other link is redundant but I 'm including it here for your convenience: https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/get-started.html

You can save your Document Cloud documents to a local folder in your machine and work offline. This is a good idea for a backup plan too.

To make your cloud documents available for offline use see here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/cloud-documents-work-offline.html   See more here:  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/work-with-cloud-documents.html  and here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/fix-cloud-document-offline-issues.html

Yes that is also available in a convenient way. You can manage and move your files back to the cloud. See how syncing is done here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/sync-creative-cloud-files.html and please also refere to the next two links below:

Not possible. These are two different cloud computing managing platforms.

Just like Dropbox, GoogleDrive, and  Amazon (to name a few examples) provide their own cloud computing integration platforms, OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud integration services to support mainly and primarily their own products and technologies.

The same would apply with Adobe's.

The similaritiesof cloud computing services, however, is that the whole idea of a cloud platform is to facilitate services to customers that will allow them to manage data and services accross a wide range of devices while saving money. Thus,  eliminating the costs associated with expensive hardware, for example, and providing access to data with solid redundancy anywhere in the world.

Yes, all the workflow that you would expect is extended to Adobe customers with the Document Cloud; no need for any extra apps. But if it interests you later in findng out more cool features see here: https://helpx.adobe.com/aero/using/cloud-documents-in-adobe-aero.html

As a matter of fact, Adobe Document Cloud also seems to integrate seemlessly with Microsoft Office365, OneDrive and Sharepoint.  See here: https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/office365-using-sharepoint-onedrive.html   and see how to configure here: https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/office365-configuring-sharepoint-onedrive.html

Moreover, as part of a partnership between Adobe and Microsoft a business can now benefit from installing the Document Cloud add-in for OneDrive: https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/business/integrations/microsoft-onedrive.html
