can not add or edit numbers

I have an Adobe pro annual subscribtion for many years. It has been worked very well on editing documents.

It seemed that Acrobat has changed a lot things which worked well in past and has added many tools and functions i don't need.

I simply need the Adobe to recognise text in an image and then i can edit it, but since Adobe recent updates, i could not edit or add numbers anymore. It comes out as some strange font. 

I have tried to reinstall few times and open adobe pro in a different laptop, it does not solve the problem.

Is anybody having the same problem with editing numbers in Acrobat Pro?

Please let me know how to solve it.

I know had to edit in Microsoft Paint instead of ADOBE.

Thanks to other people's posts, i have now found the soluction. I need to click preference in Edit and uncheck hindu digits etc. I mean why a user had to spend time to reseach and find a solution for this? Why not learn from Apple to make it easy for originary people. Many people

have no intention to take tutorials to learn or know too much technichs. We just need it to be easy to use.

I wonder why that option was on with your install by default. Yes, with complex products, there is a steep learning curve, but it is worth the sweat. Many people are eager to learn how to use powerful tools like Acrobat. And from my experience, I have found that push-button solutions are simply not adequate. However, also here you will see progress in the upcoming years.

 

I'm not certain that Apple makes everything easier to use, when they limit users in their possibilities.

 

Incidently, I think, that if you are doing only OCR and editing you won't need the power of Acrobat Pro. The cheaper Acrobat subscription will do too.
