can not copy and paste forms

I want to select and copy/paste multiple fields at the same time from one PDF to a new one.

I've done that for years, but somehow Acrobat now refuses to paste more than one into my new PDF. 

 

I'm in "prepare form" edit mode, fields are not locked and i can easily copy/paste each single one into the new PDF. But not all the fields at the same time. 

 

Does anybody have an idea why?

edit: i CAN actually copy all fields when starting a whole new form.

But it has to be on MacOS 10.15 Catalina. Does not work when creating them on MacOS 10.13 High Sierra and switching to 10.15. 

 

A proper solution for me would be to create all forms from scratch on MacOS 10.15. But where're talking about 20+ forms 😞

That is kind of weird.

 

You should be able to share a file with anyone who has other Adobe Acrobat installed in different operating systems and be able to edit, copy and paste without that issue.

 

Ask this same question in the Apple support  forums and see if someone knows why is this happening between two different versions of macOS.

 

If you don't mind  me asking, can you post back here if you find a solution?

Is this happening for any PDF you try to copy the fields onto? or Just a specific PDF?

It's happening to every PDF.

Hi,

 

can you clarify what you mean by multiple fields?

 

Are these text and image fields that are selectes using the "Edit Text & Images"  or are you referring to field objects?

I've experienced this before with some of my PDFs.

 

I can't remember right now  if I was able to resolve this by opening the page properties of the new blank PDF where I was trying to copy to and selecting Use Document Structure. Then  I  was able to copy into it.

 

But you can try to use the Oganize Pages Tool in the original PDF. Then select extract page(s). This will extract an exact copy of the entire page with all of the fields that you're trying to copy manually.

 

And that pretty much accomplish what you're trying to do.
