I have the same issue re "The document could be printed" and "An error occurred while printing the document." I'm able to print to various copiers from other programs, i.e., office and outlook.. It appears that my issue is isolated to Acrobat. I've up installed the latest updates, went throught the repair installation and restarted my computer. It doesn't matter what pdf I open it just errors out every time. additional steps taken were turning off protected view, clicking on page set-up, and print as image.
Appreciate any assistance.
Thanks,
Leslie

And you've done exactly what? 5/4/2023- still waiting. I can't print out of a PAID subscription. Total rip off. Pull it out Adobe. Total fail.

Found a solution.Open preferences. Go to Color management tab. Check working spaces section. I solved the issue with changing grayscale setting . Check and find which is suitable for you. Now I can get printouts

I strongly suggest that you do NOT do this! I've unfortunately done it and now Adobe Acrobat Pro isn't working correctly which is causing an error requiring Task Manager to end the task and, for some reason, changing that grayscale setting has also changed the visual behaviour of Windows right-click menus (Win 10 22H2 Gen 6 processor)!! I'm using Dark mode and the menu appears white and blank until you mouse over it. The options are black background and white text, but over the top of a white background.
I've tried repairing Acrobat and restarting my laptop but this has not helped (the right-click menu issue was temporarily fixed but the problem came back after opening Acrobat. Deleting the Preferences folder as suggested in another thread here did not restore the default settings.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Oh boy! I've just tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Acrobat Pro and now it's totally messed up! Acrobat opens as a blank white screen and clicking on the menu icon causes the same "an internal error occurred" message as I was getting before which requires Task Manager to end the task to close Acrobat!!! OMG! Just tried doing a repair, which has not helped and opening a PDF causes a "There was an error opening this document. An internal error occurred" message.
Any suggestions, please? TIA.

Sorry, me again. Just tried uninstalling Acrobat (and Creative Cloud) again, plus deleting program files\adobe\acrobat dc folder and moving c:\users\[profile]\app data\roaming\adobe\acrobat\dc folder somewhere else. Then tried reinstalling Acrobat/CC again. Result is exactly as before. Totally messed up! The new DC folder in my profile is missing some folders that were in the original folder: JS Cache, Redaction, Stamps and files TMDocs.sav and TMPgrpPrm.sav (both dated today). Help!

Sorry to hear such a big problem. I just changed mine to sgray to gray 2.2 and it worked. What else did you changed ?

I tried several grayscale options, none of which solved the printing problem. The original default option disappeared from the dropdown list so I couldn't change it back. Changing the grayscale setting also affected the CMYK setting and the original default option disappeared from there as well. After trying a couple of other ways to repair/uninstall/reinstall, I now can no longer use Acrobat Pro at all! I can't believe changing one setting in Preferences has done so much damage.

Hello, Amal.
Thank you for responding. Installing the patch didn't work for me but, considering what happened as described in my other posts, it wasn't surprising. I ended up using the original installation file from when I first purchased a subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro in December 2022 (I also moved the DC folder from the Adobe\Acrobat folder in Users\[profile]\AppData\Local and Roaming to another location in case there were any corrupted files. The Distiller DC folder/files are dated today.). This installation works fine, including printing, so I haven't run the patch on this version.
The only issue is that all of the tools, menus, preferences, etc. are located differently on the screen and don't appear to be customisable. The usual Adobe Acrobat Pro banner at the top of the screen is also missing (see attached screenshots). According to the Apps page on the Creative Cloud Desktop, Acrobat is up to date. Running the most recent installer just opens the version of Acrobat I now have installed from the original installer. Is there a way to get the version I had prior to the problems described in my other posts back? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Hi, Meenakshi.
Apologies for the delayed response. The notification was marked as spam.
Thank you for that very useful information.
By way of feedback, I think this new UI is horrible and I much prefer the previous version!

Help menu > Check for updates = no updates. Sorry, but this version of Acrobat just simply sucks ass. "Wiggle the wires" is not a fix. Fix it on your end please.

This still happens in the current version Adobe Acrobat (23.01.20143). I have wasted a lot of time on this and I have an office full of people unable to print from their expensive subscription software.

I have attempted said update. Adobe Acrobat Updater freezes once the blue line indicating download process reaches the end. This has happened multiple times. Please help. I am paying for this program (not an insignificant amount). I expect it to work.

Try to download the update patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.htmland see if that works.

Nope, that patch didn't work (and why did I have to seek it out and install manually?). Obviously, this problem has been going on for a long time for many users. I've seen conversations on this issue dating back to 2021.
The document could not be printed
An error occurred while printing the document
Can't print from a "form creation software". What a joke. For me, this problem just came out of nowhere. I could print ANYTHING, ANYTIME until maybe April 2023? Then BOOM, Acrobat won't print anything. I can convert documents to Word and be able to print, but if I have to do that, what am I paying Adobe for? Huh? Anyone? Fix it!
