I tried all options but still cannot open Adobe files from gmail. This worked last week... WHY is it that with ever Android update it feels the tech is going backwards and it is NO a upgrade at all.

I work a lot from my phone I dont have time for hick-ups like this. It is costing me valuble time.

I tried the workflow of opening a PDF from Gmail, and it opened directly on Reader Mobile.

Would you mind sharing the steps you follow on your device for a better understanding and assistance?

Also, setting Acrobat as the default app for viewing your PDF files might be a good practice to avoid such issues.

Hey there,

As the error message says it all, your application Adobe Acrobat or Reader doesn't have permission to access One drive files.

There are two ways of enabling access. First, you can launch privacy setting and allow One Drive files from location ~/Desktop/OneDrive/Documents to be opened with Acrobat Reader.

Else, you can add the OnceDrive account within Acrobat Reader DC to provide permission to access the files store on OneDrive. Here's the detailed description of how you can do that: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/access-onedrive-files.html

I have the same problem as well. Harsh, your response is of little use. The original question has nothing to do with OneDrive. It has to do with Apple Mail (mail.app). It appears to be related to a recent OS upgrade Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.6. It is fixed in Mac OS Big Sur 11.6.7 as describe in Apple's release note here which says:

macOS Big Sur 11.6.7

macOS Big Sur 11.6.7 fixes an issue where Mail and apps, such as Microsoft Outlook, cannot open attachments if the app required to open the file is already running.

Hi, all -- having the same problem. I can open the ADOBE PDF file in Acrobat Reader, but I cannot open it from Mac Mail -- I get the following error message, even though permissions have been given to Acrobat Reader in the "get info" panel -- this does not seem to happen with ALL pdf files, just some. I like to check the PDF file from Mac Mail before I send it to make sure that it's the right one and that the person receiving it will be able to open it, so this is rather frustrating! Any solutions? I'm running the latest Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on Mac Big Sur.
