I've lost the borderless page option sizes when printing to my Canon Pixma from any Adobe apps - Acrobat / Photoshop / Illustrator - after upgrading to Mac OS 14.4.1. I've installed the latest printer driver but it looks like the problem is with Adobe as the borderless options are available with all other apps. Any suggestions on how to solve the problem would be much appreciated. Thanks...

I also have the exact same problem. Reported it to Apple, we'll see if there's a fix. It's super-annoying!

I also notice that it is only happening in Adobe apps. In non-Adobe apps, I have 58 paper size choices including all of the borderless choices. In Adobe apps, I only have 14 paper size choices, with zero borderless choices. All after I updated to OS 14.4.1 on a Mac Mini (M1 2020) — it was fine right before the update this morning.

I haven't received any suggestions on how to solve the problem. But Adobe has just sent me an email saying...
"Did it solve your problem? Click here to view the replies and mark one correct."
So how do I mark one correct when there aren't any that solved the problem?
Shouldn't there be some way of escalating the query?

Hi there
Thanks for reaching out. Please update the application to the recent version 24.02.20687 from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works.
Let us know how it goes.

Hi there,
Thanks for confirming that. Would you mind collecting the print logs as below:
Please share the collected logs via any cloud storage of your choice for further investigation.

Thanks Amal. I'm never comfortable delving that deeply into the mysteries of the terminal. There are a few others experiencing the same problems. I'm hoping one of them might be able to follow your instructions. Guys?...

"Place the plist file com.adobe.Acrobat.FeatureState.plist at location /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/Trunk/Preferences"
I can't access that .plist link and on top of that I get to /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/ and there is no "Trunk"

Side note here — it is not an Acrobat-specific problem, but an entire Adobe-specific problem.

Our engineering team would need more information as below:
• Were you able to see borderless printing options with any previous Mac OS versions on Acrobat, if yes, could you please share that OS version?
• How is the printer added? Is it PS/PCL/Airprint (System Prefs-> Printers and Scanners-> Desired Printer-> Kind).
• Workaround – In the ‘Page setup’ dialog, you can see ‘Manage custom sizes’ option where you can manually enter the desired dimensions and margins for your use case. And you can save this custom size for future usage.
Let us know how it goes.

Amal and Jennifer
I have exactly the same issue. Can print borderless in any app apart from Adobe; specifically Lightroom Classic and Photoshop (both on latest revisions. The suggested workaround does not work, at least in Photoshop as setting the deisred size and margins does not equate to borderless. Setting size larger and zero margins is still restricted by the border imposed by the print setup, where borderless has recently disappeared.
I could print borderless before so I don't see the way the printer was added makes any difference, and in the case of the Canon Pixma TS704 I have, there are no options on how the printer is added. The only changes have been moving to another Mac OS, and in my case it was most likely the move to Sonoma from Ventura., and various updates to Photoshop and Lightroom Classic.
I hope this helps? Need a solution desperately.

Hi @Steve ZA
This page is dedicated to Adobe Acrobat application, you may start a new conversation on Adobe Photoshop community page here https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem/ct-p/ct-photoshop?page=1&sort=latest_replies&lang... so that our photoshop experts may also look into it and help you best.

Can you not post it on our behalf, Amal? You know how best to explain it. Then let us know the thread and we'll follow it. Is that ok?

Hi Amal
Thank you for your guidance. I have since been made aware of the official thread for this print issue which apparently awaits a fix from Apple relating to the Sonoma 14.4 update. https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-print-module-list-of-page-sizes-doesn-t-upda...

• Were you able to see borderless printing options with any previous Mac OS versions on Acrobat, if yes, could you please share that OS version?
—— it was all fine before I updated to OS 14.4.1 so I think it was just OS 14.4 before that and everything was good.
• How is the printer added? Is it PS/PCL/Airprint (System Prefs-> Printers and Scanners-> Desired Printer-> Kind).
——System Prefs-> Printers and Scanners-> Desired Printer-> RICOH MP C5505 PS
• Workaround – In the ‘Page setup’ dialog, you can see ‘Manage custom sizes’ option where you can manually enter the desired dimensions and margins for your use case. And you can save this custom size for future usage.
—— I can enter a manual page size, but it doesn't act the same. For example, I would choose "US Letter Borderless" but when I set up a page with no margins, it still leaves a white border whereas when I use the "Borderless" page choice, it actually prints all the way to the edge. I can't find a way to create my own page and have it print to the edge.

Hi Amal,
I am having the same issues as everyone else in this thread. I updated my macbook and my iMac to new apple software and now I can no longer print borderless. Do you have an update on this issue? My business relies on the borderless function as I make A3 art prints.

The only way I've been able to resolve the problem is to use a MacBook that's not been updated to the latest Mac OS.

Borderless printing is managed by the printer driver and not by any application. Generally, they scale the page that is sent to the printer by a tiny amount. When you select a page size that is A4, you should expect the printer to print A4 and not A4+.

Yup, exact same problem here. It's a shame because printing is integral to our business and not being able to print borderless is a BIG issue. A bit frustrating that issues like this come up. Hopefully theres an end in sight. We have a print backlog building up now.
