Mac Os: Sonoma 14.5

Acrobat Pro, v. 2024.005.20320

I have been unable to print from Acrobat for a very, very long time. I have located several posts from 2023 reporting this issue. Responses from Adobe employees indicated that the problem was resolved with the latest update. As it is now 2025 and I have the most recent versions of Sonoma and Acrobat Pro installed and still can't print, this was clearly not the case.

When I try to print a PDF, I receive the following error message and Distiller is launched. If I try to print a second time, both Acrobat and Distiller freeze.

Could not create PDF from:

/var/folders/16/k19z32ps0dxd4qtmgqg7pbsc0000gn/T/PSomrEBf.tmp

Using Adobe PDF Settings: High Quality Print

see the log file for details. [I don't know how to access the log file]

I don't understand how after so much time this "bug" remains a problem. Printing is a vital feature of this application. What is Adobe doing to fix this?!

I tried printing again and received a different error message:

Could not create PDF from:

/var/folders/16/k19z32ps0dxd4qtmgqg7pbsc0000gn/T/PSdAVtL0.tmp

Using Adobe PDF Settings: High Quality Print

see the log file for details.

Attached is a .txt file, which contains the text in the lower-most window in Distiller. I'm not sure if that is the "log file". The bulk of the text is just a list of fonts, but at the very end appears the following, which may be relevant:

Distilling: PSdAVtL0.tmp Start Time: 1/14/25 at 10:10 PM Source: /var/folders/16/k19z32ps0dxd4qtmgqg7pbsc0000gn/T/PSdAVtL0.tmp Destination: /var/folders/16/k19z32ps0dxd4qtmgqg7pbsc0000gn/T/AADistiller20805/PSdAVtL0.pdf Adobe PDF Settings: /Users/mm4632/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Settings/High Quality Print.joboptions Distill Time: 0 seconds (00:00:00) #### End of Job ####

I still cannot print PDF files in Adobe Acrobat. Acrobat Distiller opens and freezes. Need to force quit Acrobat and Distiller. My Adobe Acrobat Pro is already up-to-date Ver: 2024.005.20400. I have the most recent printer driver installed. I encounter no problems printing from InDesign or Illustrator. Your link "For more information, see this: https://adobe.ly/42ygZAj doesnt even work! This problem has been ongoing for way too long! Please find a solution.

I was able to resolve the issue. Here is the correct answer: Uninstall Adobe Acrobat App, then reinstall it. Restart your computer. That seemed to fix the printing problems.
