Can’t see text since last update 23.10.00

Since the most recent update, I can't type into my pdf that I've been using for years now. It just shows blank or little square in each box. It was working fine the day before the update and beyond. I use this. I use this as a timesheet for work. I'm on an apple device also.

When I type it leaves the squares behind and when I select it again, the writing is there but when unselected , it disappears. When saved it doesn't show the text either.
