As part of our current process, edits to the text content in existing pdf's, are communicated via the use of comments, directly on the pdf version of the file. Designers, with access to the wider adobe suite, (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), currently manually implement these changes in the design software, leaving room for inadvertent changes.

Additional manual checks are needed, to ensure the comments have all been implemented, and that these have been implemented correctly (proofreading), without any other inadvertent changes.

Specifically for comments using strike-through and insert comment functions in the red boxes below, is it possible to:

1. Import accepted comments from acrobat into other adobe tools such as InDesign (thereby automating the implementation step allowing designers to focus on layout and technical requirements)?

2. Produce a clean copy of the PDF content (including font style formatting) to simplify / automate the proofreading?

Thanks in advance for the support

An InDesign created PDF can be proofread and sent back to the originator, who themselves can import the comments to InDesign to correct the files and then to export a PDF again.

You can't use any PDF to proofread and then import to InDesign. That does not work!
