Cannot change highlight color from white; Acrobat Pro

Community Beginner ,

For the last several months, I have been unable to change my highlight color in Adoba Acrobat Pro. When I do it in the web browser, I have no issue, but the desktop application will not allow me to choose the highlight color at all. I believe it is highlighting in white because once I highlight something, it allows me to delete the highlight. I have checked for updates and repaired my installation, still nothing.

Open the Properties Bar from the drop-down menu you opened at the end of the video, click the highlight you added, and change its fill color. You can also set the new color as the new default in that same window.

Could you give a little bit more description, I can change the properties of the highlight in that drop down, but I don't see how to change the default, and I would prefer not to have to click 5 times for one highlight

If you don't see that option in the Properties Bar right-click the highlight (after you edited it) and select "Use Current Properties as New Defaults", or something similar to that. Any comment you add from that moment on (of that type) should have the fill color of the comment you clicked on. Existing comments will not be affected, but those can be edited using a script.
