Hi!  I'm having the most difficult time, word looks perfect but it is not converting my images in the file to the PDF correctly including shapes.  Also, the logo is getting all pixelated.  I tried the .doc and going into options to not compress the files..  See below.. Please help!

I'm having the sake problem. I have a book ready to go to the publisher, but when I pdf'ed it, practically every image is distorted. I thought it was a word problem, but the image appears 'perfect' in Picture Preview, or as a basic Word PDF file. It's ONLY when converting to an Adobe PDF do I have this problem.
I didn't pay all this money to have a program I can use for the reason I bought it........!

Hi Glperrien,

How are you creating your PDFs?

FWIW, Microsoft's PDF generator is not the best around. (Yes, even if you are paying for Acrobat, if you use Word's PDF generator, that's bypassing Acrobat.)

I'm on a Mac and if I want Acrobat to generate the PDF, I go to my Print dialog and select "Save as Adobe PDF." I'm not completely sure where the Acrobat PDF access is on Windows, sorry.

Note, in the dropdown menu below, if I select the "Save as PDF," that will use Apple's PDF generator. A number of years ago, Adobe gave up on the ownership of the PDF format and released it to the ISO (International Standards Organization) to maintain the rules and regulations of PDF on an international basis. Some folks follow these rules better than others. Nuff said there.

Just out of curiosity, how did you create your images? Did you make them in a different application? Are they bitmapped? Vector? I'm curious.

Thank you so much for replying.

I’ve been promised 6 different times by 4 level 2 tech spport reps and 3

tech support supervisors with Microsoft that a level 3 tech rep would call

me and I have yet to get a call back.

I will try your suggestion to ‘Save as PDF’ vs. ‘Printing to PDF’ to see if

that makes a difference.

When I print an image that I created in a drawing program as an Adobe PDF

sometimes it will print it ok. The next time I print the very same page

along with others it will cut off part oh the image. Printing to the

Generic PDF printer selection in Word doesn’t do that, but there’s as whole

other set of problems with thst process, as well.

Here I sit with a book that I’ve spent 26 years writing and can’t PDF it to

get it and my iages to a publisher...

Microsoft tech help SUCKS..!

Thanks again...

Hi jaimee12339879,

Could you please let me know the version of Acrobat installed on the machine?

To check the version of Acrobat, launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat

Which Operating System do you have?

Have you tried with another files?

Try converting other word file, and see if conversion looks fine.

Would it be possible for you to share the file with us, i have sent you a private message for the same, please respond to that message.

Thank You,
