Cannot delete pages with Acrobat Pro DC - no error message

I am trying to delete pages in Acrobat Pro. Everything looks normal, I can go to "Organize Pages" and select the thumbnail of the page I want to delete. Pop-up says "Are you sure you want to delete the page from the document?" Click ok and nothing happens. There are no error messages, it just doesn't delete the page.

I have also tried the trash icon at the top of the page and right clicking on the page to select "Delete Page" and get the same result. I have tried multiple different documents. I have also tried saving a copy to my desktop instead of opening from the server.

There are no security issues, all "Document Restrictions Summary" items are set to "Allowed".

Also, I am able to insert pages and edit the document, just won't delete pages.

Okay, thanks for that extra info. I'm not sure what is going on, as I can't duplicate the issue. Did you try logging all the way out of your Creative Cloud account (Quit) followed by a complete system restart?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and that has corrected the problem. (For now )

A workaround that I found is to:

  1.  Click Organize Pages.
  2. Select all the pages you want to delete.
  3. Move them all down to the very last page of the document so ALL blank/unwanted pages are at the end.
  4. Delete.

LMK if that works for you.

@KC38620620psrg can I suggest you create a new PDF and using 'Organize Pages' insert the PDF that you are trying to delete pages. Now try deleting those pages in this new PDF. And that doesn't work....try saving the PDF under a different name. Close and log out of Adobe and the applications, clear your cache, and log back in to try again. Also, are you using the latest version of Acrobat Pro.

I tried duplicating your issue, and I have no issue whatsoever. But, I am on a MAC though!

Hi @KC38620620psrgdoes this happen with any PDF you try? Or only this one particular document?

Apologies, I see you did try this on different documents. Let me check something...

Are you using Windows? If so, make sure Acrobat is set as the default for .pdf files. Someone else suggested printing the document to PDF, saving with a new file name, and then try deleting the pages. Next is trying to delete pages using another method. Go to View > Tools > Organize Pages > Open and then delete with the trash can icon. Let us know if any of these tips help!

Yes, I am using Windows and yes, Acrobat is the default for .pdf files. Neither of those methods worked.
