Cannot import photos into Acrobat so here is a different solution
Acrobat does not have any kind of wizard or a good working method to simply import a batch of photos that can create a PDF with normal 8.5 x 11 page sizes!
For example, I have a batch of photos downloaded to my desktop from my phone which, by default, saves images at 4080 by 3072 pixels with a default of 96 DPI.
One import method involves selecting all of the images and right-clicking on them to "Convert to Adobe PDF" but this yields a page size in excess of 56 x 46 inches for each photo which is totally unacceptable.
Another method I tried was to create a "Blank page" PDF and then attempted to drag and drop the photos onto the page but that failed, ostensibly because the photo DPI setting wouldn't allow it to fit on a normal page size.
I was (and still am) disappointed Adobe doesn't think about these things. Even so, I managed to devise an alternate method to get the PDF I wanted.
I opened Microsoft Word and created a "Blank page" document. I selected all the files and did a simple drag and drop of the whole batch into Word, which automatically made the initial photo fit within the page dimensions of a normal 8.5 x 11 page size and proceeded to create a page for each additional photo in the same fashion. I was then able to save it as a PDF. No fuss, no muss, exactly what I wanted.
THAT is what Adobe Acrobat should have been able to do (especially at the prices they charge!) but it can't. Tsk, tsk, Adobe.
