Cannot install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on Mac - Download assistant crashes

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for Mac and downloaded the software. In the download folder, it is not a '.dmg' file that appears but an "Arvato Bertelsmann" icon. I have followed the instructions from other discussions threads here on how to override the security setting that prevents the installation of software from third parties. However, once I reach that step, the program immediately crashes with the notification that 'DownloadAssistant quit unexpectedly.' Does anyone know what the source of this problem is and how to fix it?

use the link below:

Downloadable installation files available:

Download and installation help for Adobe links

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.
