Cannot Print from SAP PDF print preview

New Here ,
Mar 30, 2022 Mar 30, 2022

Dear,

Just notice a problem when trying to save the PDF from the PDF print preview window from SAP.

I'm using the command PDF! to change the smartform from the standard print preview to a PDF which works normally and the PDF can be displayed correctly. When I try to save the PDF by clicking the 'Save' icon in the pdf toolbar, it just got no response, no save dialog is displayed and the preview becomes a blank page.

Appreciate if any advise can be provide on how this can be fixed.

Thanks,

Francis

Hi Francis,

I'm not clear exactly what SAP is. However, my adviceis if it was working before, a simple restart may work. I'd reboot your computer as that could clear an issue. If it still occurs, include some screenshots to explain what's happening.

Howerve, after I click the save button, it becomes

I'm now using Acrobat Reader DC (64-bit) ver 2022.001.20085 and SAP GUI 740

What happens when you click the print icon?

Same as in the case for 'Save', changed to a blank page without showing the Print dialog.

In fact, the result is the same for all buttons in the pdf toolbar. Once I click a button, it change to a blank page.

Regards.

Hello Francis,

we have the same issue with the DC Reader and SAP GUI 7.60 after the Reader was patched.

For 64-Bit Installations I haven't found a solution yet. The only thing that hepled was to install Adobe Reader DC in a 32-Bit Version. The best results I had with 21.007.20099.

For every "blank" page an event were created in the event log from windows
