Hi there,

It sounds like Acrobat is freezing before the dialog box appears. Since you’ve already tried rebooting and reinstalling, please try these steps below:

1. Run Acrobat as Administrator:

  • Right-click the Acrobat icon and select Run as administrator.
  • Check if the dialog box opens properly.

2. Disable Protected Mode (for testing):

  • Open Acrobat (if possible).
  • Go to Preferences (Ctrl, Cmd+K) > Security (Enhanced) > Uncheck Enable Protected Mode at startup and restart Acrobat.
(If it starts working, re-enable this later for security.)

3. Reset Acrobat Preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/3JJj0ml and reboot the computer once.

4. Update Acrobat: Go to Help > Check for updates and install any available ones and reboot the computer and see if that works.

  • operating system (MAC or PC)
  • version of Acrobat
  • type of printer
  • was this after a recent update or patch?
