Change default background color of form field

Hi:

Is there a way to change the purple default color of the form? I would like it to just be white and the the text to say "Type First Name Here"? See screen shot below.

The goal is to make this pdf fillable but not look like its a fillable pdf.

This is not a part of the field itself, it's a highlight color applied by the application.

You can disable (or change it) by going to Edit (or the Acrobat menu if you're on a Mac) - Preferences - Forms.

However, this will only affect the way files are viewed on your computer. If you send the file to someone else that setting might be enabled for them, as it's an application-setting, not a file-setting.
