Check for accessibility tool greyed out

Hello, under the "Prepare for accessibility" tool menu, all of the options are greyed out except for "Add alternate text" and "Fix reading order". I need to use "Check for accessibility" and have never previously had issues doing so. The PDFs I am working with have been exported from InDesign.

 

My Mac was just updated and my user account no longer has admin privileges—could that be why? What setting(s) do I need to change to regain access to the tool? Thanks.

Thank you for reaching out. 
In addition to what the expert @creative explorer has mentioned, you need to check if you have access to Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard.  

Standard has fewer features than Acrobat Pro. 

 

Another scenario that may not apply to your situation involves a machine that originally had Adobe Reader installed. Based on the subscription linked to your Adobe ID, the application has been upgraded to Acrobat, but it hasn't fully transitioned to the complete version yet.

Thank you, I am using and previously used Acrobat Pro. For whatever reason, when I went to check this feature again recently, it has been re-enabled without my having directly changedanything (or having IT change anything).

@defaultwlf44mgsj0it a huge 'yes!' ... question is, who is the admin? You or the company IT team?

The company IT is the admin now; I no longer have admin privileges. What setting or permission do I need to ask them to change for these features to reappear? I do have the ability to update CC apps but it seems this is some separate layer of requiring access.
