Colors displaying and printing wrong in Acrobat Pro

We have a computer that is displaying and printing wrong colors in Acrobat Pro.

- I checked accessibility settings. They are not turned on to affect color.

- I tried opening the documents from another computer. They were fine.

The white background of the sheets are showing and printing light blue.

The light grey lines (to highlight every other row in a chart) are showing and printing pinkish.

Any ideas? We had something similar happen on another computer last year, where white backgrounds were showing brownish light green or yellow.

++ Adding to the discussion have you tried using the flattener preview?

What happens if you save a copy of the original file as PDF/X standard and open it ?

So this is limited to a single computer? Are all PDFs affected or just one?  Have there been changes to the color management settings under [Edit] > [Preferences]?

Yes, limited to a single computer. When we had a similar problem before it was a different computer, but still just a single computer.

All PDFs are affected. But like if it is a scanned picture, the white background shows white. (And any borders around the image show the light blue color)

No changes to the color management.

  • Settings: Monitor Color
  • RGB: Monitor RGB (followed by monitor model)
  • CMYK: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
  • Grayscale: Gray Gamma 2.2
  • Engine: Adobe (ACE)
  • and "Use black point compensation" is checked.
