Combine files and keep bookmarks from parent files

I am trying to combine multiple pdfs into one file and all my bookmarks disappear in the final file (using either the combine file function or create portfolio options). How can I keep my bookmarks and combine files into one large file?

Sorry for the delayed response.

Please try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Check if an update is available for Acrobat using "Check for updates" option under "Help" menu, reboot the machine after installing update and try again. You may also download updates from here: Adobe software and product updates

2- Also, check if "Save as PDF portfolio" option is unchecked under Combine Files. (below is the screenshot):
