Compare files not working

Hello,
I work as IT support and i have one user who has Adobe Pro.
She wanted to compare two PDF files and find the differences.
We used the following procedure https://helpx.adobe.com/be_fr/acrobat/using/compare-documents.html
The result we expected wasn't what was shown in the How To.
We tried with two files and where we knew the differences but no good result either
Any ideas, solutions?

Hope you are doing well.
You did find the Help article for the comparison of two document. The steps mentioned here should work well: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/compare-documents.html
However, it didn't in your case. Just curious to know what exactly went wrong and what was the difference between two document? Can you share it with example or the sample files itself?
Also, make sure that document you are working with isn't secured.
Just for testing, how about checking it with a different set of documents?

The Adobe compare tool works half the time, in my experience. Try using Draftable (https://draftable.com/desktop) for PDF comparison. I know this was over a year ago, but hopefully this will help.

Hi, do you know if there is something comparable out there for the Mac? It says that this app only works with Windows. (Having a lot of trouble with the compare tool at my job).

Drafts me has an online comparison tool as well as their desktop app. The online tool will work with a Mac.

PDFElement will be your best bet for that. I work for a law firm and that's what I have my one Mac user using. Best of luck! 😊

I know this was a while ago, but I'm encountering the same problem (it seems). The result of the comparison is that the entire text appears as a change. I have converted both pdf to recognize text with the "Scan & OCR" tool, but still it doesn't seem to recognize one of the documents as text (regardless which of the two I put as OLD/NEW). Please help, this was the main reason why I got a PRO license.

Would you mind updating the app to the latest version (2024.005.20xxx) and letting us know if the issue persists for you?
If yes, please share the below details for further investigation:
1. The OS [Windows/Mac] and its version;
2. Does this happen with a specific type of file or all?
3. Can you share sample files with us test the issue in-house?
