Content Preparation Progress At Startup

Acrobat X Pro & I know support people... it is no longer supported.

When I open the program by clicking on a specific file, I am seeing this "Content Preperation Progress" dialog as soon as I open the document.  I have the most current updates available 10.1.16 and I am not sure if this is a new feature since my previous edition 10.1.2 or if is a Preference that I need to locate and uncheck.  I had to wipe my computer and reinsall Windows 10 and reinstall the program from scratch.  It has never done this before so it makes me think that it is one of the two scenarios as stated above.

Anyone have any clue how to get ride of this thing or am I gonna have to just accept that it is a normal, necssary process that has to be done for every document that I need to view?

Thank you & much appreciated in advance.

Correct answer Amal.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

Please go to Edit > Preferences > Reading > Under, Screen Reader options, Page vs Document, select 'Only read the currently visible page' > Click OK and reboot the application and see if that works for you.

Regards

Amal

Is there a registry edit for this?

This is the most useless/annoying feature that ever was built on a software application.
