Quite a few organisations send pdf's with Apple Wallet capable (.pkpass) so you can add to yuor wallet easily, eg Air Tickets.

Some don't

They just send a normal pdf with QR codes.

As a Creative Cloud subscriber I thought maybe Acrobat would allow me to do that - I can't see anywhere that it can do that. Why not ?.

It seems there are 'free tools' available to so this but why on earth should I trust a piece of software off the web to do this when I would assume it is a function Acrobat should support.

Can anyone suggest a way to do this please

You can make a feature request here:

Because Acrobat is about PDF files. It can't do all container files. As you well said, there are different tools out that can do that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PKPASS

I have created the feature request to export PDF's with Ticket QR codes as .pkpass format.

Thank you for link to the Acrobat User Voice LJ3.

Comment - It would be useful to have an Ideas tab at the top of this Discussions Page - as done in Adobe Premiere discussion Forum - this takes you straight to the Ideas pages.

It's confusing to have different utilities inside a group that perform the same task. However, it is the team's decision to use this or that. Uservoice wa there before this forum got the option added to handle ideas and bugs, so I suppose that the Acrobat team simply sticks to what they have for the moment. Migrating such a tool and the database to a new system is a huge challenge.
