Several years back I was able to use Adobe Acrobat to create email archives and it captured all the attachments including JPG files.  I use it for tax purposes.  Last year and now this year again, it will create the file but not attach the

    It's September, 2017, I notice from this discussion thread that this problem does not seem to have a solution.  I have AA Pro DC with MS Outlook, and I tested 10 different attachments attached to one email to see if it could identify and convert them all: Tif, TXT, JPEG2000, JPG, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, BMP, PNG and PDF.  Nine attached files worked, but not JPG.  Is there a solution to this software bug?  Thanks

    i recently stumbled across this issue. i wanted to share 2 things that ended up working for me.

    1)  workaround: if you've converted to PDF and the picture files are listed in the attachment pane, drag/save those files to your desktop (or whatever folder desired).  the files will open from your desktop (or wherever you saved them). for whatever reason (at least in my case), adobe cannot handle the request to open the picture file. i was so focused on clicking on the embedded file link or opening from the attachment pane, it didn't ever occur to me to try it this way.   in other words, it would be like saving the attachments from your email to your drive, then opening it, as opposed to opening the attachment straight from the email.

    2) solution: check your default programs/associations for jpg, jpeg, bmp, png files.  make sure they are set to photos (default windows program) if you're running windows 10, or windows photo viewer if you're running windows 7. this allowed me to open the pictures straight from the converted email PDF.

    it's like adobe knows to use word to open .doc files and excel for .xls, but cannot open jpg, jpeg, bmp, png files unless it is the default windows picture program.

    I am having the same problem. Portfolio out of Outlook includes only pdf attachments, but not jpeg attachments. Running latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC.

    How to Save and print Outlook PST to PDF?

    Save Outlook PST mails to PDF Manually

    1 - Open MS Outlook, select Outlook mails then click on file and then click on print and then select print style section choose between Table or Memo style and print

    (Note: with the above method you will be able to save only one message as PDF at the time.)

    My apologies.  Hit the enter button too soon.

    Last year and now this year again, it will create the file but not attach the JPG files attached.  What gives?

      Please let me know the exact dot version of Acrobat XI installed on your system?

      Also, let me know the complete workflow followed by you to convert the Email to a PDF.

      Hi jeremyb76868789,

      Click on the email, drag it & drop it on the desktop. Now try to perform the conversion by right click on the email on your desktop & selection convert to PDF.

      Thanks for the suggestion.

      I converted a single email within Outlook and received the same result.

      I dragged and dropped the same email to the desktop and converted as you suggested…and the output is different.  The PDF contains a TXT and JPG reference next to the words “attachment” in the PDF…however…unlike my other attempts, there is no link to open either the TXT or the JPG file.  When I show the attachments “tab” within Acrobat, it doesn’t show any attachments.

      I attempted to convert the individual message dragged to the desktop from WITHIN Acrobat and could not see “.msg” files.  My thought was to ensure it was setup to include attachments. I know ALL my previous attempts to convert from within Outlook have been set to include attachments.  I also tried to find the setting from within Acrobat that would include the attachments….but could not find it.

      Other thoughts?
