Hey jeremyb76868789,

If you are still want a solution to convert Outlook email and attachments to PDF including JPG file, then not to bother you can use third party solution to overcome this situation. Try CubexSoft Outlook Export - A most helpful solution for you to convert Outlook emails and attachments to PDF embedded JPG files. It supports all Outlook editions i.e. Outlook 2016, 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003, etc. The CubexSoft Outlook Export can also convert multiple Outlook emails and attachments to PDF in single process.

Here you can see more: TechNet Outlook Export to Convert PST file 2010, 2013, 2016, 2007 into Multiple Formats

It's September, 2017, I notice from this discussion thread that this problem does not seem to have a solution.  I have AA Pro DC with MS Outlook, and I tested 10 different attachments attached to one email to see if it could identify and convert them all: Tif, TXT, JPEG2000, JPG, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, BMP, PNG and PDF.  Nine attached files worked, but not JPG.  Is there a solution to this software bug?  Thanks

i recently stumbled across this issue. i wanted to share 2 things that ended up working for me.

1)  workaround: if you've converted to PDF and the picture files are listed in the attachment pane, drag/save those files to your desktop (or whatever folder desired).  the files will open from your desktop (or wherever you saved them). for whatever reason (at least in my case), adobe cannot handle the request to open the picture file. i was so focused on clicking on the embedded file link or opening from the attachment pane, it didn't ever occur to me to try it this way.   in other words, it would be like saving the attachments from your email to your drive, then opening it, as opposed to opening the attachment straight from the email.

2) solution: check your default programs/associations for jpg, jpeg, bmp, png files.  make sure they are set to photos (default windows program) if you're running windows 10, or windows photo viewer if you're running windows 7. this allowed me to open the pictures straight from the converted email PDF.

it's like adobe knows to use word to open .doc files and excel for .xls, but cannot open jpg, jpeg, bmp, png files unless it is the default windows picture program.

I am having the same problem. Portfolio out of Outlook includes only pdf attachments, but not jpeg attachments. Running latest version of Adobe Acrobat DC.

How to Save and print Outlook PST to PDF?

Save Outlook PST mails to PDF Manually

1 - Open MS Outlook, select Outlook mails then click on file and then click on print and then select print style section choose between Table or Memo style and print

(Note: with the above method you will be able to save only one message as PDF at the time.)

2 - Save Outlook PST to PDF with alternative method: For batch PST files to PDF migration try Outlook to PDF Converter utility. Free Download: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Convert-PST-to-PDF-with-25f19205

My apologies.  Hit the enter button too soon.

Last year and now this year again, it will create the file but not attach the JPG files attached.  What gives?

Please let me know the exact dot version of Acrobat XI installed on your system?

Also, let me know the complete workflow followed by you to convert the Email to a PDF.

My settings are exactly the same as you’ve shown.  They have been throughout all of the tests I’ve completed…with possible exception of any changes that might have been caused by the Adobe Acrobat update…but either way I’ve had the selection to include all attachments.

Further thoughts?

Has anyone been able to run an experiment on another system under similar conditions?

Cheers,

Jeremy Buckingham

Hi Jeremy

Does this happen only for JPG/JPEG file attachments or for other formats too?

Thanks
