Question

Convert powerpoint to US letter pdf

I have a Powerpoint slide in US letter size . I have clicked Preferences (under Acrobat Ribbon in Powerpoint) and then Advanced Settings and the height and width are correct for a US letter size (8.5 and 11 inches). Then I click Create PDF (next to Preferences under Adobe ribbon on Powerpoint). However, when I open this pdf in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and click on Properties, it says the page size is 10 x 7.5 in.

I am using a Windows computer and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

Hi, thanks for replying. When I print it using my printer it looks ok, but I need to submit it online as a US Letter size pdf document for my assignment.

If it looks OK, it's OK.

And remember, everyone else will be using the same software.

My guess is that Acrobat is both allowing for a border (most printers cannot print to the edge of a page) and the height is based on the aspect ratio of the PP slide. If you were to force the page to change it's aspect ratio to fit a letter page (or say a legal page), something would get very distorted.

In other words, that is the correct size for a PP page to appear on a letter page size.

To test this, print one page and see how it looks?
