Copy and pasting image in file results in black square

Community Beginner ,

Hello. Using the latest version of Acrobat Acrobat Pro (2021.007.20099) and whenever I copy image to paste in the same file it is resulting in a black square. I was able to copy and paste the image just fine last week but suddenly something has changed. I want to copy the background drop shadow that is behind several of the pictures to apply to all remaining pictures. What is going on?!

You must select the drop shadow AND the image, using the CTRL key.

Then you can copy-paste both.

I took your file, moved the image away from in front of the shadow, and then was able to copy & successfully paste the shadow elsewhere.  Is the image in front messing up your ability to select and do what you want, maybe?

Anything more you can tell me so I can try to recreate your issue might help - but it seems to be working for me.

I have Windows 10, and Acrobat 2021.007.20095.

I'll run the update and see if it breaks it!

My best,

Dave

After updating Acrobat to 20099, I can report that it seemed to behave a little differently, but I was still able to copy the shadow image and successfully paste it:

I did find that the shadow image extends pretty far with some transparency areas.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for trying. I also have WIndow 10 and I'm unsure of why I get that problem. even after removing the picture, this is what I get.

Thank you!

It's not the easiest way but it certainly works.
