crash on ocr optical character recognition

Hey there,

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Version 9.0.0 on a Dell Precision M4600 Core i5-2520M 2x2,50Ghz 8GB ram with Win 7 pro service pack 1.

For years and for hundreds of files and on various machines, both single and multiple files, OCR clearscan downsample 600 dpi has worked perfectly fine.

But all of a sudden Acrobat Pro crashes on random pages in the same file. For some files ocr still works. But for 1 out of 3 Acrobat crashes.

The same applies for a Microsoft Surface 3 Intel Atom x7-Z8700 CPU @ 1.60 GHz 64-bit running Win 10 Home.

How do I solve this issue.

I'm having the same issue with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Is this the same solution?
