I cannot open a .jpg files in Acrobat Pro DC. I have the latest version of your software. I have tried all of the methods. I get this message:

"Adobe Acrobat could not open 'filename.jpg' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF."

I had a friend open the same exact JPG files using all methods on his Acrobat Pro DC and it works fine on his machine. We also verified that we both have the same version of Acrobat Pro DC. I have tried to run a repair on the software from the Add/Remove Programs utility in Windows, and that did not work. I have latest version of Windows 10 Pro. Please help!

Just realized I am having this issue will all non-PDF files, not just JPGs. Just tried it with a freshly created .docx file, and same issue. Once Adobe fixes this, hopefully it can get posted here for others to use.

Are you sure you're opening the file in Acrobat and not in Reader, by any

chance?

Definitely. I am paying for Acrobat Pro DC. It says "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC" in the title bar of the program. I have version 2019.012.20034. I am wondering if my registry is messed up due to having an older version of Acrobat X on my machine when I installed this several months back. This morning, as an attempt to fix this issue and others, I uninstalled the old version and then after that (today) I did the repair function on Pro DC to see if that would fix it. I did a PC restart after as well. Do you think it'd be a good move to completely uninstall Pro DC and start fresh? I am trying to avoid doing that. Another thing that seems to no longer work, ever since I put Pro DC on here is the virtual printer called "Adobe PDF" in the printers list. Used to work like a charm with the old Acrobat X, but now it just starts doing it, and then freezes. I end up having to just close the popup window. I have been using the Microsoft Office PDF converter virtual printer instead, even though I pay for Adobe's.

It is unbelievable that there is not direct customer service on a paid monthly subscription software. I have wasted so much time with this program. I bet it's not that hard of a fix. I look forward to somebody on here being able to help.
