Create PDF from Scanner does nothing on macOS Sierra

File/Create/PDF-from-Scanner no longer works for me. When I select the option, nothing happens. I have an Epson Perfection 4490 scanner, and I am able to use the Epson software to scan documents.

This Acrobat feature used to work just fine for me, but after a recent Acrobat update, it would appear to do nothing as above. However, I could still hit F10 to find all app windows and select the scanner window (no other technique to find that window would work). I recently updated to macOS Sierra, and now F10 no longer works (the OS now says "No Available Windows").

The only reason I use Acrobat is to scan documents, and now it does not work. I did not see this problem posted on other forums, or anywhere else on the Web. Some Adobe tech support would be much appreciated here. Thank you!

Sorry for the issue you are facing. There might be some disconnectivity between scanner and Acrobat.

Can you please try few options like driver update and reinstall Acrobat. Here are some common solutions for this issue: Troubleshooting tips for scanner issues when using Acrobat

I tried uninstalling and re-installing, but installation fails:

Exit Code: 7 Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. ERROR: DW003: Third party payload installer /tmp/3D057CF3-691E-4BA8-AC8F-234B13252F4D/Acrobat_DC_Web_WWMUI/Acrobat DC/Acrobat DC Installer.pkg failed with exit code: 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So now I can't use Acrobat at all.
