Creating simple forms How?

Community Beginner ,
Nov 24, 2017 Nov 24, 2017

Years ago I used to be able to create simple forms, that seems not to be possible anymore (the only thing I would like is for the visitor -to a show- to fill in the form and click so it will be sent to us directly, nothing fancy....) At the moment one clicks on j''a, ik wil graag updates ontvangen''  the form should be sent to an e-mailadress....Help?

Is your question about creating fields or about emailing the form automatically?

The latter is only possible if an email account is set up on the machine and a script is installed on it.

If you can't control that then you should submit the request to a web-service, instead of using email.

Thanks, I think I knwo how to create a form, even with a button to activate something, that button should be the activator to send a mail directly to the creator of the form. I only hav Outlook Office on my laptop, do not know what more (software) I would need to get this simple use back...Which script do you mean? Can I get that somewhere?

Open the document in Adobe Acrobat and use Tools > Prepare Form. In the properties of the submit button you can change the email address.

Great! That works, thanks very much. After upgrades it seemed that simplicity was lost (as it was with the new printerdrivers).

You can't attach files here. Upload it to somewhere like Google Drive or Dropbox and post the link to it.

Hi all, I am still trying to find out what was distorted after the W10 upgrade, Acrobat Pro X would not recognise files automatically (saw them as HTML...) and Outlook Office 2010 still does not start after clicking on ''mailto:'' or the button in the form, anybody? Help!

Acrobat X is not compatible with Windows 10, so problems are to be expected.
