Cursive by default

Hi,

 

Any body knows why when editing text it sets by default "cursive" format and does NOT allow me to change or remove or unselect cursive format? I went to Preferences>Edit Content and I can only change the font there, not the format.

 

Any help appreciated!

    can you share a bit more background information?

    Can you confirm the exact version of the operating system and software you are using?

    How was the file originally created?

    I ran a few test, I don't get 'italic' by default, when I edit the text of a document created in InDesign or MS Word, when the original text is not formatted with italic or using italic fonts.
