When I choose an area of text to be deleted / erased and press Apply there appears a white pop-up box but nothing else happens. The pop-up box disappeares by pressing Esc, but the text selected is still visible.

Thank you for providing the details.

kindly try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Close the Acrobat application and all adobe related processes in task manager (Core sync, services for adobe desktop app, adobe desktop service, Adobe IPC broker, AAM updater)

2. Create a new PDF and then add some text to it.

3. Save the file and close.

4. Then re-open it and try to apply redaction.

Let us know if that works.

Thanks,

Harsh

Hi @Johanna5ECE

Hope you are doing well.

As per the issue description that you are unable to delete text in a PDF. Would you mind sharing few details to understand the issue better?

1. If possible, could you show a screenshot of the white pop-up box?

2. Application version?

3. Try to create a new PDF and then add some text. Save the file and close. Then re-open it and try to delete the text. Is it working?

Kindly check if Acrobat is updated to the latest version. If you still face the issue, try to repair the application ( select Help> Repair installation).

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Harsh

Thank you, @Harsh Vardhan Pareek

Attached please find a screenshot of the white pop-up box that appears upon clicking Apply-button after marking the area to be deleted with Redaction tool:

I have version Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2021.007.20095.

I have checked, and there are no updates available and also repairing the installation does not solve the problem.
