Disable Auto-print?

After an automatic Acrobat Pro, now when I open PDF files (from Windows Explorere double click) it automatically pops a print dialog on every tab. So if I open 5 files, I have to close 5 print screens.

Why on earth would this be the new default when so few ppl would be printing on paper anymore? Seems like a step back and I am not seeing how to disable it. Which is also another terrible idea.

The only reason I am using Acrobat Pro at this point anymore is so I dont have to use Edge as MS shoves it down your throat in Windows now and they keep auto reverting when I disable PDF's and search not being default bing. Please dont make me move to Edge after using Acrobat for decades... 😄

Maybe I'm blind, but I dont see the setting.

This usually happens because there's a script embedded in the file that does it. There's no setting to do it in the application itself. You can test it out by disabling JavaScript (via Preferences - JavaScript) and then open the files again. Does it still show the Print dialog automatically?

My mistake. Apparently, the place I was getting the PDF's changed to adding p[rint script. So Adobe's in the clear 😄
