disabled new acrobat and "distiller cannot find its standard icc profiles" returned

I kept getting the "Distiller cannot find its standard ICC profiles. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat to correct this problem." so I reinstalled and....problem solved.  However, the new Acrobat layout is horrible (whomever gave the green light to this should be fired immediately! )  so I disabled the new layout and of course, the "Distiller cannot find its standard ICC profiles." has returned.  While I understand there are greater trageties in the world, this issur is irritating. Like fingernails on the chalkboard!  Is there anyone know how to solve this issue?  At this point, I'm looking for an alternative to Acrobat.

Hi @steve279274462oou

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Please try lowering the security levels of the Mcros in your MS Office applications that you are currently using as PDF creation tools and see if that works. You may also want to check if the problem is fixed by also uninstalling and reinstalling any Visual Basic Add-Ins and/or Visual C++ Add-Ins.

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Win or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.

Hi there,

Hope you are doing well. You may refer to the steps shared in the help page (https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-installation-ms-visual-c.html) to reinstall the visual C++

Also refer to the help page (https://support.apple.com/en-in/102367) to enable the root account, if you have Mac OS.
