Distiller error after

I have several users getting an access denied Distiller error after updating Acrobat DC to version 25.001.20458.

The error pops up randomly even when Acrobat is not in use. I have tried removing DC, running the cleanup tool and reinstalling DC. I also apllied the latest optional update 25.001.20474.

I have cleared all temp folders and granted users full control over all Adobe folders, c:\windows \temp and c:\temp.

I also tried turning UAC from off to on but the error still comes up intermittently. Has anyone else has this issue?

I'm having the same exact problem.  It drives me crazy.  I won't even be using adobe and it will just pop up.  I have tried to figure out what's going on and I have also had my IT group look into it.

Hello @D.Stapleton

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry for the trouble you had.

The product team is working on a fix, and we will update the thread once the fix is available publicly.

For testing purposes, close the Acrobat app, then open Task Manager, and close the "Acrobat Collaboration Synchroniser" process, restart the computer and check if you are getting the error message.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation on this.

Regards,

Anand Sri.

I have been having this error on 2 separte machines.   The Aug 18 update has not fixed this issue.

TO: Adobe Support  - What is the fix or suggestion for a workaround??

Can I go back to a working version of Acrobate so there will not be issues?

Hi,

We've also still experiencing this in our organisation, currently on version 2025.001.20623.

Unable to reliably recreate the problem, as the error seemingly appears randomly. Although it mostly appears a few minutes after restarting the device and logging back in, with our without Acrobat running.

We started getting this in our environment recently as well with the last few updates.

I just updated two Win11 devices to .20630 and one had the error appear about 10 min after updating, the other was about 15 min.

I tested this on a fresh older Acrobat install (24.005.20320) and updated to 25.001.20577, 15 min later recieved the error.  Uninstalled/restarted.  Installed again and updated to .20630 and still got the error.

I have this issue as well randomly.    I do not have a Adobe pdf setting under convert to PDF  only Adobe formats and the edit settings is grayed out.
