Do I need both Acrobat DC and Distiller on my laptop?

I have Acrobat Pro DC and Acrobat Distiller on my laptop - do I need them both or can I make do with one - if so which one?

Hi Maudie,

 

The Adobe Acrobat Distiller is a program within the programs provided as part of the Acrobat package. Its only purpose is to convert Post Script language files into PDF files. You will need to keep both the application on your machine. However, you can create PDF using the Acrobat DC.
