Dollars and cents formatting on a form

I've created a fillable form and the section where I have calculations for $ the formatting doesn't work for the user. The formula's work but the dollars and cents formatting does not.

In the fields where you want the content formatted as currency, right click on the field and choose properties. Click on the Format button at the top of the dialog and choose Number from the "Select format category" drop-down menu. Choose the appropriate decimal places and choose the desired currency symbol.

Thanks Chad. I did this and it looks correct for me but when other users fill it in, the $ and decimals go away. I did try to change the font thinking that may have something to do with it but that did not work either.

Question… When a user is filling out this form, are they attempting to do so through a web browser? This could cause the formatting to not appear properly. They need to open the PDF in Acrobat or Reader in order for the formatting to display properly.

I was hoping this was the issue but it is not. The form is being sent as an attachment and they fill it out, save and send on. I will remove the calculations and see if that is causing the issue. Could having different versions of Adobe Acrobat such as pro vs. reader be causing this?

I doubt the version would affect anything as nothing has really changed with how form fields are formatted for quite some time. If you have a script controlling that form field, that could affect the formatting though.
