AFAIK, the activation servers for Acrobat 9 have been discontinued. Were you able to actually install and activate it on a new machine?

2022.04.04 - link still working

Link Worked (5/14/22) but installation says it found a there is already a functioning product installed and stopped.  How can I get around this?  I moved and renamed all Adobe folders out of Programs Files and Programs Files(x86) but the installation still fails.  Any help?

Found the answer.  I had Adobe DC installed but not licensed or functioning.  Once I uninstalled that the Acrobat 9 Pro loaded just fine.  Thanks for the help.

that's not compatible with newer os'es and is not secure but if you purchased a perpetual license from and registered with adobe, check https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-downloaded-file-app.html for info on how to download non-current adobe programs.

if you have trouble with your downloaded files, https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-downloaded-file-app.html

if that fails AND you've (a) registered your software with adobe or (b) can provide proof of purchase, using a browser that allows popups and cookies, contact adobe support during pst business hours by clicking here and, when available, click 'chat', https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Why is this Happening?

There is an infringement lawsuit in progress, and this action is being taken to remediate current claims.

What is this lawsuit?

Adobe has no comments available on current litigation.
