You download the document, and you check the comments in Acrobat, and they are not present? How has the document been created? Which tool added the comments?

Thank for the response. The document was provided by my tutor on my degree course and I have no details. I can see all the comments when I view in my Google drive, then go to download it (tried various formats) and the document opens but no comments. I need to see the comments to reply to them to make my amendments for the tutor. The IT guy at uni doesn’t know why

Hi @tina_9643

Sorry for the delayed response, and I assume you have already found an answer to this question.

Usually, the question is how the comments were made; were those made using the Acrobat Desktop or the Mobile app? Also, are you trying to open the file in Acrobat/ Reader on your desktop/laptop or mobile device?

In Situations like this, it is better to download the file locally, click on the Comments tab, and check if the comments are visible.

Depending on how the comments were created and how the file is opened, they might not appear unless the app supports Adobe-style PDF annotations.

Let us know — we’ll guide you further based on the workflow if you still need help on this.
