Drop Down Text is HUGE! But only on my PC...

I have been using Adobe Reader DC with a pdf that is form-fillable and has drop downs. The problem is that when I click to use a drop down, it basically doubles the size of the box height, but not the width making the text huge. This also prevents me from going to the end of the word/phrase for the dropdown and editing it (which is how it is supposed to work for many of the boxes if necessary). It's for Dungeons and Dragons... it's a character sheet. So at the end of the word I should be able to add +1 or whatever if needed. I can't do that because I can't go to the end of the word.

This is a problem I have worked with the developer on for a few days and we cannot come to a resolution. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader DC and using the cleaner in between install. I have tried testing my DPI settings, which are set to 100%. I have verified that accessibility settings are set to "recommended" in Reader. Magnifier is off. I verified that the sheet works perfectly fine on another PC using the same version of Reader as I. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to fix this?! You can see from the examples below what I am talking about. The text box is much bigger than it should be. The first picture is mine, the second one is from the developer that I've been communicating with the correct the issue.

This is what mine looks like...

On my machine, which has an AMD HD 5700, the size of the field doesn't change the slightest when zooming in or out, nor does the size of the drop-down elements. So I think we are on to something there.

My best guess is still that this is somehow related to your graphic card/driver/setting. Perhaps you can play with those and see if anything changes. It will probably require you to reboot after changing something to be 100% sure if it has any effect or not. Can you run your machine without the video card (i.e. does it have on-board graphics)? If so, what happens if you disable the graphics card and use the on-board graphics instead?

I have no idea what might be causing this behaviour, perhaps something with your graphic drivers? Maybe try an update to those and see if it still persists after a reboot?

Maybe a long shot, but if you zoom in on the field, does the drop-down box still double in size when you click on it? Does this happen to any other fields or just the drop-down boxes?

It is just the drop downs that are doing this...(even if I choose to manually type in an answer vs. using a prefilled one). And yes, if I zoom in, the box still increases in size. It seems to have diminishing returns, but not enough to make a big difference. At 100% I can view the first 11 characters, as depicted above, but at about 200% I can maybe see 12 of 13. It can be a help at times, but not usually.

My video card is a Nvidia Geforce 750i. It is currently up to date.

I've tried tons of things, and thought there was no way it was the graphics card. However, after having to do some hardware checks for other reasons on the PC, I removed the graphics card and went with the onboard... everything works as intended now.

Apparently, the NVidia Geforce 750 had some issue with the drop downs and was super sizing them and not letting the original code work properly. Makes no sense to me, but thanks for helping!

Any new updates to this? I use this on a laptop with integrated graphics and a discrete card, but disabling the discrete does not change the dropdown text size.
