For barcodes forms you'll need to add additional rights to that PDF. Those rights can only be added by Adobe Reader Extension Server (ARES) which is part of the AEM Forms server. It's quite expensive and only available for larger enterprises, I'm afraid.

Here's a kind of workaround. It uses scriptings to create a QR or PDF417 code from the forms data.

Hi,

Can you include some screenshots, share the exact versions of Acrobat Pro and Reader. Are they on the same computer? Did you try on another computer that only has Reader?

Using Adobe pro to reader extend and it is not  generating the dynamic barcode in Dc reader the barcode turns grey when data is added to the barcode.  It works when we open the page in Adobe pro

In Acrobat Reader the QRcodes work well but they are hidden.

When the PDF is reopened in Acrobat Pro (or Standard) the QRcodes are displayed normally.

Will paper forms barcodes also work the same way.  Though if it turns grey in Reader if saved and opened in Pro will it work?

"Though if it turns grey in Reader if saved and opened in Pro will it work?"

Yes and no.

Yes because this is the behavior expected by Adobe.

No because it's easy to create a barcode using a text field and a barcode font.
