Is there a way to adjust what is selected and deleted in a PDF while using the editing tool?

I'm having a pretty annoying issue where if you select a text box, and click delete, it will only delete the first and last characters. For example, if a text box is 1234, and I select the whole thing by clicking and selecting all items, hit delete, it will then read 23.

Super irritating when I have large PDFs to remove info from. I can't see anything in preferences, but I might be looking in the wrong place.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble.

As you are experiencing issues in editing PDF, would you mind sharing the screenshot of before and after editing?

Share the Acrobat and OS currently in use.

It would be helpful if you can share a small clip of the workflow you use to edit the text box in PDF.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

No. And PDF files should not be edited in this way to begin with. Go back to the original file format, make the changes there, and then create a new PDF file.

Select the text as an object, you should see the blue line around, then right-click : Edit with Illustrator.

In Illustrator : Save and Close, changes are incorporated instantly in the PDF.
