Embedded Image as comment dissapears when emailing/drop boxing

I created a document that uses comments as clickable images so that when you click the comment it opens the image. My issue is trying to get this to other individuals. For whatever reason the embedded attachments are missing. The pdf still downloads at the same size as if the images were still attached. Im using Acrobat XI and windows 10. I've attached the file.
