error 2753 when installing

My computer crashed so I wanted to reinstall Acrobat 12. During the installation I got the message: "error 2753. The file 'acroservicesupdater.exe' is not marked for installation". Then the installer exited without installing Acrobat. How do I make this work?

Acrobat. But it turns out that this happened during a reinstall after a computer crash. The file in question was left over from the previous install. Deleting it fixed the problem.
