Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, combining files only proceeds to 70%

++ Adding to the discussion

- Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the error message for a  better understanding?

- Is this a behavior with a particular set of PDF files or with all the PDFs that you try to combine? Please try with a different set of PDF files and check if its working fine.

- Does any of the PDF file contains the digital signature?

- If the PDF file is stored on a shared/network drive, please download it to your computer locally and try to to combine again and check.

You may also try to create a PDF portfolio as described in the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/create-customize-pdf-portfolios.html#create_and_customize_pdf_portfolios  and check  if that works, A PDF Portfolio contains multiple files assembled into an integrated PDF unit. The files in a PDF Portfolio can be in a wide range of file types created in different applications. For example, a PDF Portfolio can include text documents, e-mail messages, spreadsheets, CAD drawings, and PowerPoint presentations. The original files retain their individual identities but are assembled into one PDF Portfolio file. You can open, read, edit, and format each component file independently of the other component files in the PDF Portfolio.

For more information please look at the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/overview-pdf-portfolios.html

Hope this information will help

Hi there

We are sorry for the delay in response.  As we can see all the file that you are trying to combine are tiff files, please try to combine a different set of files of different formats and see if that works.

Also, would you mind sharing some tiff files that you are trying to combine so that we can check at our end. Please upload the file to the document cloud https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ generate the link and share them with us or you can share them via private message by clicking on the message icon on the top right of this page.

Regards

Amal

Is either file on an external drive or on the Desktop?

Hi there,

OK, have you ever set the OSPpermissions for Acrobat to access items on your Desktop?

Starting with High Sierra and going full strength with Catalina, Apple aggressively requires the Administrator to OK applications access to various sections of the OS. If you haven't, here are some instructions.

Please let us know if this solves your problems (note: in my screenshot I'm showing Adobe Bridge becuase that's most often the application that gets hit by this problem but all applications can be affected. Just look for Acrobat in the scrolling region).

Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, select it, it will now appear in that window and make sure it's checked. Next go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.

Please let me know
